A portion of each entry may be donated to the Colorado Hunting Dog Association and donated towards the Colorado Dog of the Year awards. The field trial committee reserves the right to rearrange the running order should conditions warrant.
Open Puppy single course without bird field, no birds released. Open Derby, Open All-Age, Open Gun Dog, Amateur Gun Dog, Open Limited Gun Dog, Single course without bird field.
Bobwhite quail, released in all stakes except open puppy. A blank cartridge will not be fired in the puppy stake. Horseback handling will be permitted in all stakes. Shotguns with blank shells will not be permitted.
AKC standard rosettes to all placed dogs.

Invites you to attend our Field Trial. Please bring your own drinking water, lunch will be served daily. A donation of $4.00 per plate is appreciated, children plates $2.00.
Attention all Field Trial Participants, please remember we are guests of the CDOW. These are public grounds and must be kept clean. Please clean-up after your dogs and fill any holes created by dogs or horses. Make every effort to preserve the natural environment, including vegetation, soil, water and wildlife.

Remember: Only certified weed free hay may be fed on the State Wildlife grounds. Hay will be available through the club for $10 per bale. Please see Jeff Hoskins.
Space for boarding horses is available at the Kit Carson County Fairgrounds in Burlington. There is a fee of $5.00 per horse each night and you must clean out your stalls.
DIRECTIONS TO TRIAL GROUNDS
Interstate 70 to Exit #437 (motel exit) or #438 (service exit) to Burlington. From Burlington go north on 8th Street to US Highway 385 (towards Wray) for 18.5 miles to Road O (Look for Yuma County Sign). Go east on Rd O, which becomes Rd RR for 6 miles. The road turns north very sharply!!! and becomes Rd LL.5. Go north on LL.5 for 4 miles to Rd 4 (the Hale Store is on the SE corner). Go east on Rd 4 for 4.1 miles past the South Republican River Wildlife Area signs to the Hale Ponds parking lot.
