Method of Determination

Points are awarded based on the placement received and the number of dogs defeated in each stake. The field trials must be held in the state of Colorado.

In the Open Categories, stakes must be open to all pointing breeds and handlers.

In the Amateur Category, only placements received in amateur stakes are awarded points.

The dog with the most points in each category, is awarded the rotating trophy and a commemorative plaque.
*****
Unless provided with the results, the number of dogs defeated will be taken from the number of dogs drawn on the bracing sheets to calculate current standings. For all AKC trials, the number of starters will be verified from the information posted on the AKC website. This may cause point totals to change slightly over the course of the season.
