In attendance were Board members present were Leslee Masolotte, John and Marge Sauer, Jerry Hogan, Jeff Hoskins, Elizabeth Fedde, and Alice Janssen. Officer Reports:President:Leslee has called for written/email reports from any officer that is not able to attend the meeting. Without a report we have know way of knowing where planning for events is and we cannot communicate this to the club as well. 1St VP:There was about $800 profit made at the fall trial. Total entry was 153 dogs. Several things went wrong at the fall trial this year. There was no water on the courses. The state made the club change campsites. At the last minute some of the courses had to be changed. Due to the large entry on Monday, some judge changes had to be made. Three dogs qualified from the Monday stakes. In the future, the trial will be geared to the amateurs and not so much to the pros. Jim and Leslee Masolotte have some property that would be good for Hunt tests. The spring hunt test will be held on their property. By a unanimous vote from the board of directors, it was voted to allow a person to hold an office for more than 2 consecutive years, especially the field trial chairman. 2nd VP:Everything is going ok for the spring of 2008. Would like to have show in conjunction with the field trial. 3rd VP:No report. Note: We are still searching for a volunteer/candidate for the 3rd VP to take over the newsletter. Secretary:No report. Treasurer:There are ample funds for continued operation of the club. We had a good year with some profit being made in all events. Old Business: The annual awards are still in progress. Cathy Fitzgerald is in charge of getting paperwork out.New Business:As you know, we are holding the 2009 ABC Summer Specialty in Colorado. It will be held in conjunction with the August shows in Greeley, Co. at Island Grove Park. We will need all the support and help from everyone. If you can volunteer to help in anyway, let Elud Archuletta-Cressler or either the Hogans, the Janssens, the Sauers, the Masolottes know that you are willing to help. Or let any other club member know. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Robin Wilson was a special guest at the Nov Meeting. Robin is a professional photographer and wants to get started photographing hunting dogs. We may see Robin at some of our field events with her camera. It was great to have her as a guest. Can You Help:We are currently looking for candidates for club officers. We need a candidate for 3rd VP and for an open director position. Marge Sauer is putting together the slate of candidates. You can contact her at jmsauer64@msn.com or (303) 823-0217. The current slate of officers and directors is as follows:
Would you like to help with the Hunt Tests? We can always use additional help with setting up and running the hunt tests. If we are to continue with these events, typically a consistent fundraiser for the club, we need more help and eventually someone to take over this activity. Web Master Needed:We need someone to takeover the Skyline web site. Anyone interested and qualified please contact Jerry Hogan, RnboRdge@fone.net. Brags:Jeff Hoskins announced that Hershey won Open All Age at Skyline and Spanky won Open Limited All Age at the same trial. Jen won Amateur Gun Dog at Northern Colorado trial.
