Directions
Eight miles North of Lincoln NE on Hwy 34. Turn north on Hwy 79, go to the West Raymond Road. Turn west and go three miles. Take a hard right and follow the blacktop over the dam around the east end of the lake. The field trial grounds are located at the Northwest corner of the lake. Entrance is marked with a sign.

Camping: Overnight camping is allowed on the grounds. There is a $3.00 charge for electrical hookups payable to the Field Trial Chairman. Showers are located in nearby park facilities. State park stickers will be required to use park facilities outside of the field trial grounds. |

Below is the regulation as it is written for disabled access on wildlife management areas; i.e., Branched Oak Dog Trial Area. Please add this to your minutes to clarify disabled vehicle access on dog trial area. 018.12 Permits/Agreements -Special Events - Regulations and Permits for State Wildlife Management Areas 018.12A Sports events, pageants, reenactments, regattas, entertainments and the like, characterized as public spectator attractions or participant activities, are prohibited on State Wildlife Management Areas unless written permission has been given by the Commission. The Commission may enter into cooperative access agreements on Wildlife Management Areas with sponsoring entities or groups of more than one (1)person for the purpose of facilitating hunting or fishing by disabled persons as described in 37-217 or veterans as described in 37-420. Eligibility shall be determined by the Commission. Participants shall be required to provide documentation of eligibility on a form prescribed by the Commission. Such permits or agreements shall be authorized only after a finding that the issuance of such will not be inconsistent with the purposes for which the area is established and shall not unreasonably interfere with the rights of other area users. The permit or agreement may contain such reasonable conditions and restrictions as to duration and area occupied as are necessary for the protection of the area, wildlife, and other users. |
